Paradox: Latin \'per-a-daks'\; A statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense. And Yet, most importantly, perhaps true.
Zombie Paradox is here to show that what we've been taught, what we believe, just may not be completely true. So lets have a little fun.
It will cover movies, books, mags, toys, actual zombie stories, anything and everything that has to deal with the undead or as we say - zombies. This site is dedicated 100% to the zombie craze. We won't be side tracked by any other horror genre.
This site will be updated multiple times a week. If anything relating to zombie news happens, we will be the first to report it.

1-9-2012 - Happy New Year. I've taken a few weeks off to rest and find out what the world has to offer on the zombie front. It's been quiet. Except for the Japanese.
Rape Zomie, Lust of the Dead. Oh my, when will it end? Thank you Japan.

12-24-2011- Tis the day before the big holiday. All thru this house the people are stressed. From one to another our time is sure pressed. The kids are here, the kids are there. The parents should know how to let things go.
This is the time of year were my life becomes difficult. Remember when you were young and the holidays were about food, presents, and seeing what all you friends got? I miss those days. What happened to the simple times. When folks cared for one another and family came first. Guess the big city and daily routine got in the way.
For all my zombie friends and family out there, Merry Christmas to all and wait til Easter when zombie Jesus haunts us all.
Thanks to all the good folks that support this site. Remember aim for the head. -DIno
12-18-2011- Just got the update that Resident Evil 5 has wrapped up shooting. The footage is headed to editting. Should be another action packed flick. Thanks mila for keeping us all up to date.
I finally stepped into the 2011. My droid died. Not as a droid from the Lucas owned franchise, the phone known as droid. Jumped ship and now am the proud owne of the iphone. I only bring this up because I was looking at apps that contain zombies. I pulled a random search and 126 zombie apps popped up. My hell people. At least make 2 or 3 good.
12-6-2011- The first weekend of no Walking Dead just ended. DId we miss it? Not really. It gave us time to enjoy the fruits of family life. The goods or maybe more of the bads. Nothing happening on the zombie front in the last few days. It's the tome pf year were xmas is beginning and baby jesus hasn't become a zombie yet. Enjoy the time spent for it will end really soon. I know, my end was close to happening this last weekend. I made me realize how important breathing is. And I'm making darnn sure that i'm ready for the zombie awaking.
11-29-2011- So AMC's (the devil) the Walking Dead had the mid season final last night. The reviews are starting. Mine, I feel let down. Another episode of slow moving, off interaction, and little zombie killin. Ok, the end was good, lots o zombies die again. Now this is the end of Frank's stint with AMC. Season 2 part 2 begins February 12. Will it continue to disappoint? Or will it be the same as the last season and a half? God, lets hope this train wreck stays on the tracks and heads to better fields. Mr. Kirkman take the reins and pull on them a tad. Gain some control. Please.
11-22-2011- School's out for new zomedy horror 'Detention of the Dead'. The Alex Craig Mann project has headed into post-production.
"Comedy and Horror unite in this "The Breakfast Club" meets "Shaun of the Dead" tale about a group of oddball high school students who find themselves trapped in detention with their classmates having turned into a horde of Zombies. Can they put their differences aside and work together to survive the night? Fat chance! This is High School after all."
Make sure you check out the official website here: http://www.detentionofthedead.com/
11-21-2011- Writer/director Jonathan Levine, is putting out a romantic zombie (romzom) called Warm Bodies. Warm Bodies is about a zombie who falls in love and begins a relationship with the girlfriend of a victim. This is kind of fun. He uses a new angle of the zombie attack mode. Just think of all the zombies that would be attacking all the tools out there and taking their girls. Mr. Levine finish this and make it as funny as possible. Sounds great so far. More to come soon.
11-20-2011- Finally an update that i promised a few weeks ago. This is about our old friends or used to be friends the Ford brothers. This set of Ford's are from the UK. Their movie 'The Dead', is being released this weekend over the pond. The Dead is about 2 men trying to find their way across the zombie wasteland. Why always a wasteland? Anyways, the first release was during the UK's film4fright. check out the site for more info.
11-15-2011- So it's been a couple of weeks. My tim flies when you don't realize what day it is anymore. Many reasons behind that, you make up your own. A couple quick itema to chat about. The Walking Dead on AMC is stll killing the ratings. AMC is still being a dick to us little websters. The show has started to slow. A couple more episodes til the bog break. It will be interesting to see what the new writers can come up with. Second the new Resident Evil film is in in full production. Mila is twiting up a storm. New costumes have been shown. A few ass kickin scences have been released. At least this one will be intertaining. That was the quickie. More to come soon.
11-1-2011- Dead Before Dawn 3-D. Yep. When is this 3-D train going to derail? THe sooner the better I hope. Premise, and go;
A group kids unleash a curse that makes people kill themselves only to turn in Zombie Demons...yep, Zemons. Devon Bostick ('Saw VI'), Martha MacIsaac ('The Last House on the Left') and the legendary Christopher Lloyd ('Piranha 3DD') all star in new comedy horror 'Dead By Dawn 3D' from director April Mullen. Brandon Jay McLaren, Brittany Allen, April Mullen, Tim Doiron, Kevin McDonald, Ellen Dubin, Kyle Schmid, Rossif Sutherland and Dru Viergever are all on board for the fun. The movie company describes the movie as 'The Goonies' meets 'Shaun of the Dead' below.
10-31-2011- HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
I hope everyone is having a great time today. This has been a crazy busy month for us here.
MSN just released a new statistic about zombies. The article stats that the zombie genre is worth about 5 billion dollars to the economy. Yep, 5 BILLION, The walking undead show how normal people are stressed out over the economy, jobs, life, and/or everyday problems. During times of struggle the zombie genre is a huge money maker.
Bestselling zombie genre author Max Brooks noted on his website, I think they (zombies) reflect our very real anxieties of these crazy scary times. A zombie story gives people a fictional lens to see the real problems of the world. You can deal with societal breakdown, famine, disease, chaos in the streets, but as long as the catalyst for all of them is zombies, you can still sleep.
Thanks Max. Tell your dad hey from us.
Again Happy Halloween. Everyone be safe.
10-30-2011- Happy all Hallow's Eve. Wouldn't want to be in Detroit tonight. Just a quickie here.
The Chinese have offially hit the zombie movie circuit. Scary Market is the lastest to hit the big screen. The movie is about killing zombies in a super market. It opened Friday. Will it be good? Maybe. I hope they keep it too an hour in length. Could imagine watching zombies wondering the lanes of a market for 2 or 3 hours? That could get long. Maybe some new kills will be added. Have we seen the frozen pea kill?
10-28-2011- What do David O. Russell, Mike White, and Craig Gillespie have in common? Done guessing? They all have walked away from directing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. This film cant find a star sctor for it, cant keep a director, at least they have a producer. Or do they. Natalie Portman is the producer and least by title. In ZP's honest opinion, this film will never hit the big screen. By the time a director is found, cast is called, and filming set it will be 2025.
10-26-2011 - AMC is doing it again. the Walking Dead season 2 has been so popular, AMC has signed up for season 3. Does this surprise anyone? Not really. The only issue is how can they do it? They are having budget cuts, firing directors, and hushing actors on set. Maybe season 3 will be released at one time. This waiting, 6 episods now, six later is BS. AMC still won't throw love at those who have supported over the years. Maybe this will last. With AMC don't count on it yet. We will have to wait and see.
10-25-2011- Bad news? No Zombieland 2. Sony has plans on making this great story as a tv series. It's in the the early stages of design and writing. They did hire writers Rhett Reese (zombieland) and Paul Wernick (also zombieland). Can these two write a sitcom as well as a full feature movie? Let's hope so. Expect the season to begin 2012 - 2013.
10-15-2011 - Just a quickie. Happy Birthday to my lovely wife today. Shes stayed by my side through the thick and thin of all crazy things that my life brings. Thanks to her for keeping me motivated to write on this site. Thanks girl - love ya - HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
D
10-12-2011- News form the Resident Evil 5 set the goo and the bad. The good Li BingBing has signed on to be Ada Wong. She is a great addition and will rock this movie. Reports let us know that this movie will the most active of the 5.
The bad, reports of an accident on the set of RS5 have us hearing 16-20 extras got hurt in a freak accident. 2 or 3 have serious injuries that they had to be hospitalized for. The most serious is a broken back. Wish all of the zombie extras a speedy recover.
10-11-2011- World War Z is in hot Hungarian water. The Hungarian government, likely the Budapest police, raided a warehouse full stage weapons that they considered illegal. According to the Hungarian news agency, these types of weapons are highly illegal. interesting that a multitude of weapons enter and exit that country everyday. Heaven forbid that a stage weapon, or 85 of them, would have the local swat team raiding the studio. Must be a slow day in ol'Budapest.
War of the Dead (aka Stone's War) the Lithuanian zombie film. Is finally set to officially appear at the Toronto Film festival. If you have the chance see it. It's a good flick.
10-7-2011 - Tomorrow is World Zombie Day. Dress the part and have a fun time. We won't be dressing the part this year. I expect each and every one of you to cover for me. Thanks and have fun.
10-5-2011- So were to begin. It's been a good week since the last posting. This working for a living - well you know how that goes. More news from the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies set. Another star has declined the lead. Blake Lively has turned down the shows latest offer. That's rejection number 5. Maybe of the [rice is right I'll play the lead or maybe not.
AMC has released two more clips for season 2 of The Walking Dead - blah, blah, blah...
Finally, watched an episode of MTV's Death Valley. Oh man. I fell as if I missed a 30 minute span of my life. The show could be so good. But it isn't . That makes me sad.
9-27-2011 - Dead Island has gone huge. I read reviews that are all about the place. Some are giving it 8.5 of 10 the next 2 of 10. Can someone please tell me what the hell is the real score for this?
New info on Dead Island. Lionsgate has announced that they are going to make a movie about Dead Island. no release date as of todays new release. Lionsgate is promising lots of gore. And hey, we know they can do this well.
9-22-2011- I know. I know. It's been a mighty long time since I have been here. The real life day to day, work to work time is kicking me in the behind. Tonight I have a night to get some news out that might be of interest. Lots of news.
Walking Dead news - October 16 it begins. 1 1/2 hour opening episode. It should be good. The season is split in 2. Meaning it could be bad. I'm still a non-believer of AMC. Maybe they will surprise us and make good on a bad thing.
Resident Evil: Retribution new - Mila Jovovich is very busy tweeting about how kick ass the fight scenes are in this movie. She is going through some major training to make it look good. This one will be entertaining. Also, Sony pictures has announced that you, yes you, can be a walk on extra for this film. Enter on the Sony.com page. They are waiting for you. Good luck.
Finally, what the hell is going on in Japan?

That's what I thought. - D
9-5-2011 - Today is Labor Day. A day we look upon the people who helped define what a great country we have. Sorry on the delayed entry of news to this site. I've had to come to terms that to stay afloat in this great country, sometime you need two jobs. This has put a little dent in being up to date to say the least. I will write a little of what I know before running to job number 2.
Our friends (not really) at AMC will put another shocker on us. The Walking Dead season 2 is being split. Episodes 1 -6 will begin October 16. Episodes 7-12 will begin Feb 12. Why AMC why? Money may be tight, this might just bite you in the ass.
The Germans, yes the Germans. Are entering the main stream zombie market. Extinction - GMO chronicles, is a zombie tale of survival. This is going to teach us how to avoid the zombie hord. The only problem is that it uses big guns to do that. Avoidance I guess is in the eyes of the beholder. Go Germany.
8-25-2011- World War Z is filming in the Czech republic. Rumors coming out of that area are that Mr Brad Pitt is killing it. Filming is on a huge scale with tons of extras, tons of military equipment, and the locals are happy as can be. Could this be true? Can a big time movie guy actually do a film that we want to see? Early talk is pointing to yes. Good job Mr Pitt, good job.
8-20-2011- I know it's been a few days. I've had way to much crap too deal with at the homefront. Happy times - not. Back to why I started this little site.
R.I.P.D. - Starring Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak, and now Mary Louise-Parker. She is actually getting to do more than weeds (love her on that). RIPD is the Rest in Peace Department of your local law enforcement. The officers are of the dead and deal with the dead. This will be a fun one to watch. The cast is awesome, isn't everything better with Bacon? Opening June 28, 2012.
8-16-2011- I could start this post by letting you know about the news for world war z. Or what the ford brothers are getting themselves into. Today is a a check in reality. I had an uncle pass today. He wasn't close by any means. I have a family who is spread across the country and doesn't like to keep in touch. I send the customary christmas cards out, maybe an announcement of important events. Never to get replies. The last time I saw this man was in early summer of 1998. The memories of the past are a very interesting thing. Long story short; I feel horrible for my grandmother. One of the best people I've ever known. She's heartbroken over losing a child. My mother, who I never see eye to eye with, and the rest of the family for being so distant. RIP John Chambers.
8-12-2011- It's confirmed. AMC (the evil empire they are becoming) did in fact fire Frank Darabont. The Hollywood Insider broke the news yesterday. We broke it on the 6th. How could you let a man of that caliber walk? Especially after all the hype and glitter that was season 1. I haven't had any luck talking, typing, and/or tweeting AMC. Maybe a highly ranked zombie website be taken a little more seriously by them. Only time will tell. The zombie fan talk is very concerned with The Walking Dead getting out of season 2 and into season 3.
8-6-2011- Can you believe it? I can. How did we break the money about AMC before the big outlets? I guess we just know the right peeps. Major media outlets are stating that AMC may be having a budget crisis. Moving monies from The Walking Dead to Mad Men. Rumor has it that AMC is trying to move (sell) Made Men to a major player. Oh AMC. Suddenly you have a great thing going with a couple of your shows. Why must you screw it up. It seems as if you decision makers are part of the government now. By going this route you will downgrade all of your series to sub class shows. Thanks.
8-4-2011- How about we put a little fuel in the AMC fire? Rumors are a flying about how mr Frank Darabont suddenly left the Walking Dead season 2 . Remember a few short months ago when AMC told him he had to trim the budget? They probably didn't think it would be him taking matters into his own hands. Are there disagreements between the high power producer and the network coming into its own? I will bet there is. My only dealing with AMC hasn't been the most positive of meetings. I can only imagine a big time person and money. You be the judge.
7-30-2011- AMC report; Glen Mazzara (the number 2 guy for Walking Dead) is going to pick up were Frank Darabont left off. I look at it as #2 goes #1. Made me giggle just a bit. It's that darned 6 year old in me. Will us; the general public notice. Probably not. Good luck AMC. How about some swag?
7-27-2011- Friday was a calm day at comic con. Frank Darabont was talking about season 2 of AMC's the Walking Dead panel. Yesterday he has quit his position as show runner and probably his spot as executive producer. Frank worked hard for the last four or fie years to sell the walking dead and get it on the tv. Why after so much time and effort would/could you walk away from it all? Something happened. We may never know. Best wishes to you Frank.
7-25-011- Zombie Apocalypse. Heard of it? I'm sure you have. It's been written about, talked through, and filmed numerous times. Does the outcome ever change? Just for fun producer Carlos Gallardo and co-producer Kevin Eastman (owner of Heavy Metal Publishing) along with director Kleong Cheung are making another movie titled Zombie Apocalypse. This will be based in the UK. The early news/rumors tell us this is an action packed, mixed martial art, zombie killing film. Something like we have never seen before. Release date is set for fall of 2012. These three characters or producers/directors what ever you like to call them are already thinking trilogy. Really? How about you do one. If it's ok, then shot the second. When more info breaks I'll let you know. Out....
7-19-2011- Been on vacation for the last little while. Spent some time in the desert, worked on the tan, and had a wedding anniversary. Thanks honey - you know who you are.
News; World War Z is going crazy in the filming department. Mr Brad Pitt has entire cities coming out as extras. He will not let any of them dress as zombies. Apparently the z's are going to be CGI. Dose that ruin this? Maybe not yet.
AMC is making their presence felt again. The Walking Dead season 2 trailer has hit the inter webs. Filming is happening as I type in Hot lanta. This season is going to have 13 episodes. I bet that it will not follow the comic as close as season 1. It can still be fun. I still have a bone to pick with AMC. Those swagless bastards.
7-10-2011- Just in case everyone hadn't heard, how couldn't ya, AMC has season 2 of the Walking Dead in production. Filming began 2 weeks ago in Hotlanta (or Atlanta depending on were you live). It's hot, muggy, humid, and did I say hot? 3 new characters are joining our band of misfits. Rumor has it that there is more zombie brain smashing this season and a few unexpected twists. Maybe for season 2 AMC will throw some swag our way. Last year they let me know that the swag is only for employees. Apparently the employees put it all on ebay as soon as they got it.
7-7-2011- Jesse Dayton, writer, actor, director, and creator, has a new movie in the works. Zombex, is the story of a drug. Not just any drug. Zombie is an antidepressant. This drug was given to the residents of Nola, LA. It's supposed to help them cope with life after the hurricane Katrina. Sounds like a good thing, take a little pill to make life a little more livable. As it turns out those pills are making zombies of all of the takers. Story sounds good. Lets hope that the acting and plot hold. The release is set for October 2011.
7-4-2011- Independence Day. For my friends in the United States, happy day. Enjoy. Many countries aren't as lucky as ours. Be safe. We don't want any limbs blown off the living. Good night.
6-29-2011- Just watched another zombie, vampire, werewolf, anything that goes bump in the night trailer. MTV is shooting 'Death Valley'. This show is filmed like the fox hit Cops. A camera crew follows street cops on patrol in the San Fernando Valley. The officers stop zombies, werewolves, and of course vampires. The short makes it look remotely entertaining. I could see watching one or two of these episodes. I just wonder how long until it all becomes the same over and over again. Cops has been on for years. I think. I haven't seen that show since 1990. Maybe this will work. I;m from the generation of people that knew MTV for music videos not killing dead things. Watch let me know how it all turns out. D
6-27-2011- Well we are back. Took a short week trip to the mountains, the lake, and the no zombie zone. Found many places that would serve as a good hide out when the zombie outbreak happens. Just living in the desert wouldn't be ideal for me. It was hot.
I'm sure you have heard by now that The Walking Dead Season 2 has started shooting. That's right, finally season 2 is hot. Pics are on the AMC site. Let them know we sent you. News clip number 2. Emma Stone (Zombieland) is supposedly signed for the lead in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Will this show finally start to film. Who really knows? At the rate they have been going, by the time all the cast s signed, there will have been ten more producer/director changes. Don't save your ammo for this one.
6-18-2011- Lithuania? Really. Now everyone has a zombie show out there. War of the Dead or Stone's War just out that little country on the map. Premise; A group of American and Finnish ( I don't know) soldiers stock a foreign enemy. The enemy is never named. It looks like it should be the nazis. During the raid the allied forces are overwhelmed forcing them to retreat into the dark forest. Once in the forest, they find that all of the enemies they had just killed are now the walking dead. As they fight into the night, the find themselves going deeper and deeper into the forest. Will they find the cause of all of this? Probably.
6-15-2011- Here's a story of a zombie tale that I've been sitting on for a long while. REC (remember this one) Genesis is coming soon. Remember the madness of #1 and #2? #1 took place in the apartment building. Ya now you remember. It wasn't bad. Anyways, REC-Genesis is a combination of 1 and 2. This one takes place out of the building and in the daylight. Weird I know. And rumor has it that all of the open question you and I had at the end of 1 and 2 will be answered. The downside is that with all the action in 3, it leaves the ending open for the grand finale in #4. Yeah us.
6-9-2011- News from E3. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has a few new trailers. This game is only tracking at 50%. 50% percent good or 50% bad, depending on who you are. I'm not completely sold on it as of yet.
The other major zombie game showing new trailer is Dead Island. They have great trailers. Lots of marketing. Amazing graphics. Popular concern is that will the game play like the trailer? If so, how can it? The rumors i'm getting is that disappointment may be the end result of this. I hope not, time will tell. Dead Island is taking pre-orders finally. After 2 years of development. We must ask do they need cash? Info for the pre-orders are on their facebook page.
6-8-2011- World War Z. Brad Pitt director and leading man, has picked his wife. Not the real wife, the one for the movie. Mireille Enos (big-love, the killing) will play this lovely role. Filming is beginning this month. The release date is scheduled for 2014. This one should be worth waiting for. More to come some.
6-3-2011- June is here. Summer is just around the corner. Quick hit from our favorite series The Walking Dead. AMC has announced that the season two will include three new characters. Hershel - a veteranarian, his daughter magie, a very good horse person, and Otis, the farm hand. Otis has killed a man. A living man, thought it was a zombie. Issues will follow. No word on who play these three or when they will be cast.
6-2-2011- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. We have heard about it and seen the book. Some have even read the thing. Guess what? Another new writer. Marti Noxon of Buffy the Vampire fame is trying his hand at this mess. After a dozen or so writers and just as many directors when do we call this idea dead. Rumor has it that so many scenes have been "borrowed" from other zombie flicks. I think we need to put a bullet in this zombies head and end all the let down end here. Their misery is now becoming ours. Please, please let the madness end.
5-31-2011- It was a nice long holiday weekend. Now back to the daily grind. Remember Deadgirl? A little zombie show that hit the air in 2008. The story is 2 guys find an abandoned mental hospital. Of course in the basement of this building is a girl zombie. IF you want more read the review. Well. Deadgirl 2 has been given the green light. This time the tide is turned. 2 girls find a guy zombie. Why is this being made? We can only guess.
5-23-2011- The search is complete I did find the cdc poster for the outbreak. I'm glad they have a sense of humor.

5-22-2011- The rapture didn't happen. I've been waiting for almost a week for things to change. Glad we all got through ok. I'm sure all have heard about the CDC and their plan for a zombie outbreak. Or at least the training they are preparing to give when it happens. The CDC says it's their take on humor to get the general population ready for any emergency. With the current state of this great country being prepared may not be a bad idea. No where to get cheap ammo. Out til tomorrow. As always, aim for the head.
5-10-2011- Deadheads (a frobro film) is looking for some one to pick up this film. Frobro is Brett and Drew Pierce. They wrote and directed Deadheads, a zombie horror comedy. This story is of two zombie slackers that go on a country wide road trip to find lost love. All the while the two lead zombies are chased by a band of zombie hunters. Sounds like a fun time. A least a nice or new twist to the genre. Some one pick this up so I can see it in theaters.
5-9-2011- How can one forget the importance of the month of May? May is officially Zombie Awareness month. Please be aware. Visit a few sites, learn a little more of the history, and get yourself prepared. As always, aim for the head. Lots of news to post. Come back soon now ya hear.
5-5-2011- Is it really May? I usually have a nice story or two about zombies to share. I do, that will wait until tomorrow.
Today, two very important women in my life are graduating college. My lovely wife and daughter. My wife has been a supporter of this site since the beginning. She checks up on me to make sure that it's going as I want it too. With out her support this would have been shut down years ago. What can I say about my daughter? She is technically graduating college before high school. Sometimes too smart for her own good. I'm proud of both of them. Love you girls.
4-30-2011- The last 3 days have been rough. I was taken down by one nasty bug. Luckily it wasn't anything too serious. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Enjoyed a zombie holiday (more on that to come soon). Just a note that most have probably heard. Early this week Call of Duty (COD): Black Ops is releasing Escalation - Call of the Dead. This is DLC (down loadable content). A new zombie add on from this franchise. This package is going to be epic. The main characters are Danny Trejo, Sarah Machelle Gellar, MIchael Rooke, and Robert Englund. You play as these four. George A Romero also makes an appearance. He is the zombie boss. Rumors are that he is a complete bad ass. This game will rock. The only thing cooler would be if you could transform Robert Englund into Freddie Cruger. The claw hand would be awesome!
4-24-2011- Happy Zombie Jesus Day!!! Some call this Easter. Here at ZP we know the whole story. Any one buried for a time a rises from the dead is classified as a zombie. Grab your colored eggs, everyone knows zombies hate eggs, your fancy clothes, and cute little baskets and raise a glass to the one that started the whole zombie outbreak. Thank you baby Jesus. Everyone have a safe and happy weekend. Mine is over. As always, aim for the head.
4-23-2011- Just a short day away from the celebration of the zombie jesus. He is the most well know zombie of all time. I was in a religious ceremony this morning. The jesus figure was brought up many times. I always occurs to me when this happens, don't people realize that when your dead and come back to life, you might be a zombie. Maybe its me. I don't want the new reader to make a judgement call against me. I;m a recovering catholic (as are many in my age group). Remember if we can't make fun of ourselves or others, who are we going to make fun of. More tomorrow on the official zombie jesus day.
4-20-2011- Just a few short days until we celebrate the rising of the most famous zombie of all. That's right kids; zombie jesus. Last year at this time I was crazy busy with email, speaking requests, and films to watch. Not so much this year. For some odd reason the second busiest time of the year is slow. Is it the economy, is it that there are no good zombie flicks heading our way. Or could it be that the fan-dom has run its course? Yes to all. All the talk is still on the walking dead. News there is filming begins in March. Release is still in October.
4-13-2011 - For it being a few days away from Zombie Jesus day, all on the zombie front is very quiet. Almost too quiet. Just one short year ago things were crazy busy. What has happened to the current trend of all things zombie? Money. Money seems to be the biggest player. I keep hearing that the economy is moving. I haven't seen it. I actually work for a company that is looking at getting rid of 10% of its workforce (about 700 peeps). Does that mean recovery. Oops, going on a rage about politics. What we need is a few zombies to show up and take on this recovery. That would get thing moving in the right direction. Stay tuned for more.
4-4-2011 - Remember the movie Quarantine? The American remake of REC (Japanese). Guess what? Quartine 2: Terminal, is being made as I type this. This time the virus isn't in the city. It takes place on a plane. Sounding like Zombies on a Plane isn't it? The plane makes a emergency landing on a remote military base. Weird I know. The unaffected try to escape. For some strange reason, there are always unsecure weapons on remote military bases. This fine flick will be heading to DVD. Will they send us a copy? Probably not. Maybe next time.
3-31-2011- RE 5. Yep, Resident Evil 5 is on the way. Capcom decided to throw another one out asap. This will be a little different than the previous 4 RE's. RE5 is going to be a first person shooter. Will this change the popularity of the series? Probably not. Rumors have it that the game will be released about the same time as the new movie. Yes, Mila will be in the movie.
3-25-2011- Quick update. Just read that Lindsay Lohan may have a spot on the Walking Dead 2. Really? No, really? Reports say that she may have a cameo as a zombie in one of the episodes. Really? Come on guys can we have standards here?
3-23-2011- Just a quickie today. The beans have been spilled on at least on episode of the Walking Dead season 2. Stephen King, yep that Stephan King, is writing his own episode for season 2. Will he let us down he better not. Good luck too him.
3-22-2011- This is a few days old. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies heard of it? Looks like it might actually get made. Heard that before. The problem so far is no one wants to direct this mess. Seth Grahame - Smith (writer of the zombie part of book) and his partner Daniel Katzenberg (yep, son of big daddy Katzenberg) are being courted by Lionsgate. Now the name makes more sense doesn't tit. Does this mean it will hit the market anytime soon? No one knows. If this film goes its current path, it will be on video in no time.
3-19-2011- Up early Saturday morning? I don't know why. The birds a chirping, the sun is shining, and no zombies in site. I'm sitting here sipping coffee trying to get the beer haze from my skull. So I open up all the email I have put off for the last few days. Spam, Spam, Victorias Secret, junk, zombie, zombie, more zombie, and my weekly update from Sony. As a VIP in the PS3 world they like to make me feel important every week, yeah right. As i actually open up this email and read it, it reads Gamer Choice Awards 2011. Who are these gamers and when do they do these awards. Best Exclusive PS3 game; Dead Nation. Zombie killing good. Best mini game; Age of Zombies. Zombies run 2 of 4 categories. I love zombies more than most. I wonder are they becoming to trendy or is it the beer haze talking? Oh beer how I love thee.
3-18-2011- So much going on what to let you know about first. The Brits had a hit on their hands with the release of Shawn of the Dead (one of my favs). Not to be forgotten, this week they release Cockneys vs Zombies. A group of bank robbers break in a 350 year old vault. Only to let the horrors inside out. By horror I mean zombies of course. It's listed as a zomcom. This could be entertaining. I need everyone to stop comparing all the zomcom's to Shawn. There can only be one. Wow I did really just type that. Ouch....
3-17-2011- St Patricks Day. Or as we say here - drunk night for amateurs. Fortunately for me I have to work this fine evening. Everyone else who may go and indulge in libations, be safe and raise a pint pint for the old working stiff known as me.
Back to zombie gossip. Resident Evil 5? Rumor has it that it is in the works. Our favorite zombie slayer is going to kick ass at least one more time. All I can say, at least these are entertaining.
Rumor, soon to be true, From the books, yes, Zombies versus Robots. This is going to be an animated movie due mid 2012. I hope the next film taken from a book series is Jesus hates Zombies. If the can do this and release it around Easter I would be in heaven. The book is still confusing. The first zombie hating all the other zombies. It's a fun read. Grab it if you haven't seen it yet.
3-15-2011- Gearing up for the busy season again. Zombie Jesus day is approaching fast. As a recovering catholic I can defend this holiday. Not many people I know of get up after they died three days prior. News for the day. Do you remember when I went on about Dead Set? The IFC 5 part series set in England. It's the mash of Big Brother and the zombie uprising. The series is on Itunes fro $6.99. Grab it. It's well worth the price.
3-8-2011- Today's big news; The Walking Dead on Blu-ray and DVD today. AMC's news worthy program (even if they don't like zombie websites). Go grab it, support zombies, and have a good watch. There are a few extras on the disc. A must add to any zombie collection.
3-7-2011- Zombie Bowl-o-rama. Heard of it? Not many have. This is the new game built on the platform of elf bowling. Now you know what I'm taking about. Instead of elves, this game you bowl down zombies. The packing says something about the zombies and how they are taking over the bowling alley. Apparently it's only the lanes they take over. You have an assortment of balls you can use, different lanes, and of course special power ups. I'm told that if you through a gutter ball the zombies start moving towards you. Since I haven't played this yet I cannot confirm said rumor. Will it be mindless fun? Sure.
3-1--11- Rumor has it that the Chiller channel is running a zombie marathon this week. I couldn't find it on their website. So it is still just a rumor.
AMC (the company with the kick ass zombie show that won't send ZP any swag to give to our fine readers) is running a Walking Dead marathon this weekend. Starting March 4, all six episodes of season 1 are playing back to back to back. I let AMC know that we here at ZP support them and have praised their series. Their response "we only give promotional items to staff internally". I seems that as soon as the staff gets their goods it goes on ebay. Too bad for us.
2-28-2011- This month is coming to a glorious end. Jut learned of a new zombie show coming out 6/1/2011. Humans vs Zombies. This is based on a live-action role-playing game. Brad Sappington and Chris Weed of Goucher College created it. It is said to be enjoyed by thousands of students across the globe. That's right thousand/globe. How do you play? I have no idea. Brad/Chris contact us let us know. What should we expect from this show? Supposedly college students are on spring break. These supposed students are exposed to a virus. This virus is only spread by human contact. Meaning, we will see a lot of human contact. The supposed students return to their college to spread the virus even more. Who can stop this outbreak. Well the conspiracy loving security guard that's who. Yet to be named security guard saves a group of students. Will this group of virus free college kids be able to save the world? In my professional opinion, Yes. If you see it released in your town please go see it. Let's do what we can to support our zombies.
2-21-2011- First thing, Happy B-day Z. My lil girl is 18 today. Crap I'm old.
Now on to zombie news. A tone of stuff is hitting the web this week. Here we go;
The Wall Street Journal reports on a deal for Telltale Games to develop a The Walking Dead video game series, with Telltale forecasting a $20 million to $30 million franchise based on the undead drama "if all goes well."
The Walking Dead action figures have generated a flurry of interest, with MTV revealing images of the Michonne and Zombie Lurker figures and chatting with the founder of the company that's making the toys (he reveals there will be "guts in the cavities that you can pull out").
FEARnet reports that Robert Kirkman is very involved with The Walking Dead action figures and pushed for Daryl's inclusion ("Robert said, 'You have to have Daryl!' He let us know he's a fan favorite."). TV Guide thinks the figures look cool, "but I personally won't be satisfied until I get my Merle Dixon (with removable hand!) figure."
2-17-2011- Wow just watched an amazing trailer. Dead Island. This is a first person shooter, up to 4 co-op, rpg type of zombie killing game. Four base characters, designer weapons, your the designer. Your stuck on an island, full of zombies, what to do. This game is being developed by Techland (Poland) and published by deep silver (Austria). If you get a chance check out the site; deadislandgame.com. I think I will get this and play it til it hurts or I get eaten. No specific release date yet, all we know is that it is in 2011. As soon as I know more I will let you know.
2-16-2011- How about the 2011 major production companies soon to be released schedule? The real question is are these really going to be made and released by this fall? Probably not. Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D. That's right a remake of classic itself. Who would be such a thing? As it turns out this is going to be animated. That's right animated and in 3D. Will it bomb probably not. Will it be good? Probably not. How does Zombieland 2 sound. Great to me. Will it be out this fall as scheduled? If you can film and get it through final production by fall, sure. Last we heard here is that this hasn't even started shooting. Sad for us. Silent Hill: Reveletion 3D. Most of us have heard of this series. If you haven't you must not own a tv or have anyone who has played a video game before. Same as the rest, goo thought, now go and film something. Finally, Contagion. Don't know if it will have zombies in it. A little story about a virus that is killing everyone who come into contact with it. Big names like Matt Damon, Jude Law, and Kate Winslet are in this one. Believe or not it is scheduled to be out this fall. I guess 1 for 4 isn't too bad for hollywood.
2-10-2011- By now everyone has seen the trailer for Super 8. What is this thing supposed be? Rumors here are that this is a sequel to Cloverfield. How does this pertain to zombies you ask? I'll tell you. The rumored plot is in the middle of a movie being filmed, a ZOMBIE movie, aliens or monsters or some stupid shit attacks a small rural midwestern town. J. J. Abrams and Steven Speilberg are keepinmg the good parts under wraps, for now. As soon as I get some more gossip on this project I will post asap. Zombies, aliens, monsters, awesome.

ps. Happy b-day tik. he's 8 today. he's my chocolate dog.
2-6-2011-Superday! No updates today. This is a day for family and friends. Food and beers. Zombies have to hang out outside while we enjoy (hopefully) a good game and conversation. My team was knocked out a couple weeks ago so I'm a neutral on looker. Everyone be safe. ZP out...
2-3-2011- Yesterday was my 3rd favorite holiday of the year. Made a little ground hog for dinner. Check out the photos on my facebook page. Yesterday, maybe the day before, I watched a so called zombie film called Ponty Pool. This is a little flick made by Canadians. Yes, I known what you all are thinking. The Canadians. Aren't they known for their bacon, beer, and gravy on their fries? Yes they are. And after watching this film they maybe should stay with those other three things. Quick run down, a town is being attacked by zombies? I guess so. There are only a couple zombies in the entire show. The question is how are these zombies created. I'm glad you asked. The story takes place in a radio station. The broadcasters (spoiler alert) voice, yes voice, is turning the local townfolk into zombies. His dilemma is this, do I warn the townfolks to get out or not say anything so no more zombies are created? Wow. Watch for a full review shortly. I;m so confused about this. It is different. But...really? Let me know your thoughts.
1-27-2011- An update from Sundance. I know. Slash, from Guns and Roses fame, has opened up his own movie house, Slasher Films. His production company is all about the horror genre with a tip of the hat to the 70's and 80's old time horror. Will it work out? Maybe. It can't hurt the type of horror that's currently on the market now. Maybe he will remake a few of the old 70's classics I grew up with. Most could use a need outlook.
Back to his Sundance presence. He is showing Wake the Dead. This is based off of the book of the same name. This has supposedly been in development for the last 8 years. Really? 8 years. This had better be the best Sundance horror flick ever. We can only wait and see.
1-26-2011- Wow. Sundance is winding down. Nothing ground breaking to report as of yet. So as apposed to writing something boring and long winded, I decided to run the fun and time wasting route. We all are aware of adult swim. Some of our favorite shows are on that network. Really, what can compete with a dose of aqua teen hunger force? If you want to kill a few minutes, hours, days, go to their site adultswim.com. a couple of fun zombie games are playing. We have zombie hooker nightmare. You are the hooker trying to get johns into your trailer for a few dollars. Between you and the trailer are zombies. A lot of zombies. Of course you find a random assortment of weapons you can use to kill them. Fun yes it is. Part two of this is the holiday version of the game. Zombie hooker nightmare xxxmas. Instead of johns, you find elves and of course jolly ol' saint nic himself. Laugh out fun. It may be a little sick, maybe wrong, yet fun is to be had by all.
1-21-2011- Is it tomorrow yet? I know finally some new items to pass among our feeble minds. Zombie Farm is being released March 8th. Storyline, an abusive farmer and his wife. She doesn't like him. She visits a voodoo priestess. The voodoo lady tells the farmers wife he will be very different when he drinks the special potion. Wife gives it to him anyway. Farmer wakes as a zombie. Starts turning the local town folk into zombies. Wife has to find a solution. That's my wording of the official movie transcript. Will it be good? Maybe. At least it should be watchable.
Next up, remember Bollywood. Of course you don't. Bollywood is India's version of Hollywood. Get it? Anyways, Bollywood is filming it's first zombie show. Shaadi of the Dead. Shaadi means wedding. What can we expect? Rumor says that a couple is in mid ceremony when a zombie hoard breaks through the doors. Will the bride and groom let their special day be ruined? We don't know. Only can hope for as much. The thing that is really of interest here is that India has a very tight censorship model. This movie is supposed to push that model to its limits. Maybe we will get a sneak peek at it.
1-17-2011- Wow it's been two long weeks. Sorry for the lack of feed. In between recovering from the holidays, family shenanigans, and lack of plain ol'non zombieness, I haven't updated. This last weekend I spent in Jackson Hole, WY. It's a nice place to sit around, have a few brews, and relax. At least it's supposed to be that way. For some strange reason I'm not allowed to have more than twp days days of relaxation. Maybe when I grow up and get a real job. Who knows? I don't. Jump back here tomorrow friends. I will bring some good zombie news to ya. Out - D
1-4-2011- Our first zombie story of the year comes from Cuba. A small island south of florida. They are known for their fine cigar making skills, old cars, and of course communism. CNN reports the first zombie movie made in cuba will hit the film circuit this summer. Juan of the Dead (yes, i believe it is a complete rip off of one of my favorites Shawn of the Dead) is finishing up production.
Alejandro Brugues is the director and tells us the story if a man and his friend who,for a price, will kill and dispose of zombies on your property. The first tag I've heard is; mom and dad want to eat you. The films budget is 2.3 million dollars (U.S.)that number is huge by Cuban standards. The movie is being funded by a group out of Spain. I wish them luck and hopefully will be able to see it at Sundance or Slamdance.
1-3-2011- Happy Birthday to my brother. He's 45 today. Holy crap thats old.
1-1-2011- It's official. We made it to another year. Happy New Year.
or me
thx
